The McCall Neighborhood Center invites talented local and regional artists to apply for our Featured Artist Program, an initiative designed to celebrate creativity while enriching the cultural experience of everyone who visits our historic community center.
Our gallery provides artists with an opportunity to exhibit their work in a welcoming public space where art, history, and community come together. Throughout the year, selected artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work while contributing to the McCall Neighborhood Center’s mission of preserving culture, fostering community engagement, and inspiring future generations.
About the Program
The Featured Artist Program was created to provide artists with a professional exhibition opportunity while enhancing the visual and cultural experience of visitors to the McCall Neighborhood Center.
Selected artists will have their work displayed for an agreed-upon exhibition period and may be featured on the Center’s website, social media platforms, and promotional materials.
Who May Apply
Applications are welcomed from artists working in a variety of mediums, including:
- Painting
- Photography
- Mixed Media
- Drawing
- Sculpture
- Fiber Arts
- Digital Art
- Printmaking
- Cultural and Heritage Art
- Contemporary and Traditional Works
Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.
Selection Process
Artwork is reviewed by the McCall Neighborhood Center Artist Selection Committee.
Selection is based on several factors, including:
- Artistic quality
- Creativity and originality
- Professional presentation
- Suitability for exhibition space
- Alignment with the Center’s mission and community values
Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
Featured Artists Receive
Selected artists may receive opportunities to:
- Display artwork in the McCall Neighborhood Center Gallery
- Increase visibility within the El Paso community
- Be featured on the McCall Neighborhood Center website
- Be highlighted through social media and community promotions
- Participate in exhibition receptions or special events when applicable
Artist Responsibilities
Featured Artists are responsible for:
- Completing the Artist Exhibition Application
- Signing the Featured Artist Agreement
- Providing an artist biography and artist statement
- Submitting an artwork inventory
- Maintaining insurance for exhibited artwork, if applicable
- Installing and removing artwork according to exhibition guidelines
